Record Holders Republic was founded by Dean Gould, holder of over 40 World Records, in 2001. He was concerned that many human achievement world records at the time were not being recorded in print or on any web sites. They were not getting the status that the records deserved.
So, Dean created RHR to give current and new record holders a place to list their human achievement records.
In 2006 Gould was contacted by another record breaker in the USA, David Adamovich (The Great Throwdini). Gould struck up a friendship with Adamovich, as they both had the same ideas regarding how records should now be recorded. Once Adamovich came over to the UK, Gould made him RHR President for the USA, allowing RHR to reach out to all USA record breakers.
Thomas Blacke, World Record Holder for making a Doggie Balloon the Quickest, was in close contact with Adamovich, and he recommended to Gould that Thomas should become the second RHR USA President, to which Gould agreed.
RHR and BTU have change the way records are recorded. We list all records that we accept, unlike others who list them only when desired. This means records are always available for everyone to see, not lost in some data base.
RHR has been featured heavily in New York's top selling newspaper, The Wall Street Journal, regarding articles on how things have changed in recording World Records.
All of the RHR team wishes you the best with all your dreams.
We have over 400,000 links to websites from all
over the world. RHR is the top Human Achievement governing body, and it will continue to grow.
